Summary of the Job Advertisement
The successful candidate will be a member of the Horticultural Maintenance team, providing specialized input into landscape maintenance and construction and directing gardeners in their duties and responsibilities.
Minimum Standards
- Grade 12 or any equivalent qualification.
- 3 years of horticultural/environmental experience is required.
- Ability to operate specialized horticultural machinery such as chainsaws and ride-on mowers, among other things.
- Basic safety knowledge and the ability to complete tasks on time without constant supervision are prerequisites.
- Driver’s license with the code 08 / EB.
Primary Responsibilities
- Site horticultural maintenance, including the use of specialized equipment and machinery
- Grass upkeep, disease identification, weed identification, and eradication
- Irrigation system installation and maintenance. Indoor plant care.
- Fertilizer, compost, mulch, and pesticide applications.
- Loading and unloading of goods, machines, plants, and debris, among other things
Administration duties include asset management, form completion, and so on.
When necessary, provide assistance with decorations and construction.
