Job Summary
Fixed Term Contract opportunity! Technically qualified petrol or diesel artisan responsible for managing all aspects of passenger, commercial and specialised assets maintenance management on behalf of fleet customers and AVMS owned assets. Executing well on the respective managed maintenance business strategy and operational processes. Ensuring that you work well withing a team and participate in constructive team discussions and ensuring team support where and when required by the team leaders and management of the AVMS business.
Job Description
Managing calls and electronic repair quote submissions from AVMS approved merchants and suppliers in respect of
- Loading of maintenance and repair quotes
- Scrutinizing maintenance and repair quotes
- Review and approve vehicle repair and maintenance requests based on established protocols, ensuring compliance with fleet policies
- Ensuring maintenance & repair work is justified and costed correctly
- Applying the correct labour rates and flat rate to each repair
- Consulting vehicle maintenance history to establish justified work, warranty work and goodwill claim opportunities
- Ensuring cost savings per quote
- Ensuring quality of work in respect of loaded quotes
- Cause of failure management
- Diagnostic report management
- Responsiveness: Speed of responses, reaction and turnaround time
- Liaise with service providers and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely completion of authorisations
- Provide technical advice to the call centre agents and customers regarding vehicle issues, repairs and maintenance requirements
- Communication Skill: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, service providers and customers
- Problem Solving Skill: Ability to assess technical issues, identify root causes and provide practical solutions
Education and Experience Required
- Relevant Qualification – NQF5
- 3 – 4 years’ experience in a similar role
Education
Higher Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
