Job Advert Summary
To service, maintain, overhaul and repair mechanical plant and equipment and to perform scheduled inspections, all in a safe manner to ensure plant availability.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12
N3 Certificate in Fitting and turning
Trade Certificate
3 Years Experience in Maintenance of Pumps
Code 08 Drivers License
Primary Duties

Perform daily maintenance on mechanical and auxiliary plant.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance checks on mechanical and auxiliary plant.
Perform scheduled overhauls on pumps, motors, etc.
Do safety inspections (safety representatives).
Equipment failure identification.
General machining, grinding, milling, etc.
Flame cutting and welding.
Rigging of equipment.
Standby duties.
Knowledge

Laser Alignment of motors, bearings, couplings, etc. Safe working procedure
