80 Hour Service Consultant

About this role

Nedbank is looking for a service consultant for its branch in Fourways, Johannesburg. The role helps clients use digital and self-service banking safely and easily, while keeping cash and branch devices running smoothly.

What you’ll do

• Greet clients, find out what they need and point them to the right service or department.
• Show clients how to use self-service devices, online banking and banking apps, including logging in and downloading forms.
• Help clients buy airtime, prepaid data and other value-added services online or at a self-service device.
• Process over-the-counter cash deposits, withdrawals, transfers, forex requests and change.
• Balance, load and secure cash and branch stock, and report any cash discrepancies straight away.
• Do first-line checks and basic maintenance on ATMs and other store devices, and manage the queue.
• Follow Nedbank security, fraud and compliance procedures, including client verification and limits.

What you need

• A diploma at NQF Level 6 (essential).
• A banking qualification such as the Higher Certificate in Banking Services, NQF 5 (preferred).
• 1 to 2 years of retail or banking client service experience.
• Experience with cash handling and first-line problem solving (advantageous).
• Foreign exchange experience, where applicable (advantageous).
• Good working knowledge of customer service, product knowledge, relationship management and risk and controls.
• Comfort with technology and digital tools.
• The ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to change.
