About this role
Nedbank is looking for a Specialist Recruiter to work in its Johannesburg office. You will plan and run recruitment for one business cluster, from vacancy approval through to onboarding. The aim is to attract and keep skilled people who help the bank grow and transform.
What you’ll do
- Own open vacancies in your business area and build talent pipelines before the demand arrives.
- Track results on quality of hire, time to hire, talent availability and cost of hire.
- Plan sourcing strategies that fit role requirements, diversity priorities and skills that are hard to find.
- Advise line managers before, during and after a vacancy is approved, and coach them on sound hiring decisions.
- Manage offers, document handling and onboarding touchpoints from day 1 to year one.
- Prepare regular dashboards and reports, and make sure hiring practice follows Group policy and South African employment law, including the LRA, BCEA, EEA and POPIA.
What you need
- A professional qualification or an Honours degree.
- At least five years of experience managing every phase of the recruitment and hiring process.
- Working knowledge of strategic workforce planning, talent pipelining and sourcing, including social sourcing.
- Experience in stakeholder management and business partnering.
- Skills in recruitment marketing, competency-based interviewing, assessments and offer negotiation.
- Understanding of labour market supply and demand, and of competitor intelligence.
- Strong planning, organising and decision-making skills, with good business acumen.
Is this job for you?
This role suits a senior recruiter who enjoys strategy as much as day-to-day hiring. You should be comfortable advising managers, working with data, and taking ownership of results. Agile delivery experience would help you fit into the team’s way of working.
Tips before you apply
- Have your qualification certificates and a clear record of your five-plus years in talent acquisition ready to upload.
- Use your CV to show specific hiring results, such as time-to-hire or quality-of-hire figures you have improved.
- Give examples of how you have advised line managers or led offer negotiations, using the STAR format where it fits.
