Assistant Store Manager

About this role

Mr Price Group is looking for an Assistant Store Manager for its Power Fashion store in Secunda, Mpumalanga. You will act as the second-in-charge and step in for the store manager when they are away.

What you’ll do

• Stand in for the store manager when they are not at the store.
• Help keep the store neat, well merchandised and up to company standards.
• Make sure staff follow company procedures and rules.
• Support the store manager with day-to-day staff management.
• Run the cash office and handle banking of money.
• Put front-end controls in place and help reduce stock loss and shrinkage.
• Plan sales ideas that help the store reach its targets.

What you need

• Matric / Grade 12 or NQF Level 4.
• Maths at matric level is an advantage.
• Experience managing people.
• Experience managing a department.
• Clothing retail experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong communication and admin skills.
• Good organisation and planning skills.
• Ability to make decisions and keep productivity up.
• Leadership skills and an enthusiastic attitude.
• Honesty, integrity and a proactive, self-motivated way of working.
