Boilermaker Serviceman

About this role

Impala Platinum (Implats) is looking for a Boilermaker Serviceman to work at its Limpopo operations on a permanent basis. The job supports the maintenance and repair of mining equipment and metal components.

What you’ll do

• Fix, replace and maintain equipment, and help build and fabricate parts using engineering principles.
• Help artisans install and maintain mechanical equipment.
• Carry out routine maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Mark off, cut, weld and assemble metal components safely.
• Do basic rigging work.
• Keep engineering equipment running well to help prevent production losses.
• Follow company policies, standards, rules and procedures at all times.

What you need

• Grade 12 or an NQF 4 equivalent (essential).
• Boilermaker artisan aide training and certification (essential).
• 3 years’ experience as an Engineering Assistant, with work-related experience (essential).
• Ability to operate a pendant-controlled overhead crane (essential).
