Commissioned Financial Adviser

About this role

Old Mutual, one of Africa’s leading insurance companies, is looking for a Financial Adviser to work from its Cape Town base. The job is about helping customers reach their long-term financial goals through sound advice and practical plans.

What you’ll do

• Find out what each customer needs and recommend financial plans and solutions that suit them.
• Win new business by building your own pipeline of leads.
• Grow sales with customers you already serve, by offering them more products and services.
• Follow through on plans so they are put into action properly.
• Keep accurate sales records and manage your customer data.
• Build trust and long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.

What you need

• Senior Certificate (matric / Grade 12 / NQF 4).
• At least 24 months’ experience in the financial industry.
• Regulatory Examination (RE5) passed.
• Class of business qualification and CPD points.
• A valid driver’s licence.
• Your own vehicle, or access to one for work travel.
• A clear criminal record.
• Strong selling, consultative and customer service skills, including probing questions and qualifying prospects.
• Good oral communication and the ability to use sales software.
