Commissioned Financial Adviser

About this role

Old Mutual, one of Africa’s leading insurance companies, is looking for a commissioned Financial Adviser based in Paarl. The role helps customers reach their life goals through sound, practical financial advice and plans that fit their needs.

What you’ll do

• Find out what each customer needs by asking the right questions.
• Recommend and set up financial plans and products that suit each customer.
• Win new business by generating and following up on your own leads.
• Grow sales with customers you already have.
• Keep sales records and customer information up to date.
• Build long-term relationships so customers keep coming back to you.

What you need

• Grade 12 (Senior Certificate, NQF 4).
• 24 months’ experience in the financial industry.
• Regulatory Examination (RE5).
• Class of business licence and CPD points.
• A valid driver’s licence.
• Your own vehicle, or access to one for work purposes.
• A clear criminal record.
• Sales software and sales data skills (advantageous).
• Strong communication, consultative selling and customer service skills.
