About this role
Adendorff Machinery Mart in Klerksdorp is looking for a counter sales person for its tools and machinery range. You will be the first person customers speak to in the branch, helping them choose the right products for their work.
What you’ll do
- Greet customers and advise them on the right tools and machinery for their needs.
- Generate sales and work towards the branch’s growth targets.
- Control stock levels and keep the branch stocked and organised.
- Handle admin and management tasks linked to the counter.
- Give customers service that meets company standards and reflects well on the business.
- Follow branch procedures and keep the branch clean and tidy.
- Keep building your product knowledge.
What you need
- Minimum: Senior Certificate.
- Essential: Your own vehicle.
- Essential: Sales skills and enough technical knowledge to explain products well.
- Essential: Staff supervision experience.
- Preferred: Previous experience in automotive, engineering, tools and machinery, or hardware.
- Advantageous: Experience with retail branch procedures.
- Advantageous: Technical knowledge of DIY or hardware products.
