Customer Service Consultant Intern

About this role

GALXBOY is looking for a Customer Service Consultant Intern to join its Johannesburg team. The role supports the company’s retail and e-commerce customer experience work while the department restructures and grows its omnichannel approach.

What you’ll do

• Help customers in a calm, friendly and professional way on every channel, in store and online.
• Reply quickly to enquiries from retail and e-commerce customers.
• Send and take calls and emails with customers, using approved channels.
• Log customer queries and complaints, follow them up, and help solve them. Pass on harder cases to your line manager.
• Help with order questions, returns and other customer service tasks.
• Keep clear records of each customer contact, the action taken and the result.
• Work with the retail, e-commerce and other internal teams so customers get a smooth experience. Share repeat problems so the team can improve service.

What you need

• Matric (Grade 12).
• No previous work experience needed.
• Advantageous: a relevant qualification in Customer Experience, Customer Service, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• Advantageous: exposure to customer service or retail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
• Basic computer skills and some familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to learn CX and help-desk systems.
• Good people skills, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well with others, manage your own tasks and follow set escalation steps.
