Description
Coordinate the total distribution of final products by ensuring that distribution trucks are loaded and documents are completed correctly and on time.
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- 2 years experience in an animal feed factory, with an understanding of the total production distribution process
- Distribution experience is a strong advantage
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Manage the loading of vehicles according to vehicle capacity and distribution and according to the priority list
- Oversee the weighing of empty and loaded trucks and collect weighbridge ticket
- Manage the taking of samples
- Monitor quality control according to expected standard
- Inspect the weighbridge every week
- Receive feed returns following the correct procedure
- Ensure the general neatness of the dispatch office, drivers, vehicles, weighbridge area and the wash bay area
- Complete all documentation and communicate full dispatch status with shift change
- Peringt bagging tickets and ensuring accurate stock control for bagging tickets
- Manage the loading actions of the Contract Transporters
- Communicate with clients
- Plan delivery times and load planning
- Provide quality client service at all times
- Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Act and ensure safety practices are adhered to in the work environment
- Identify potential hazards and breaches of safety regulations and report them to your supervisor
- Manage the loading actions of the contractors (RMC) and oversee overall discipline in the loading area
