Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 09 or relevant NQF Level 1 qualification
- Code 8 driver’s license
- PrDP driving permit
- 1 – 2 years’ experience as a driver within a supply chain environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver and collect mail or goods within area of accountability
- Perform operational processes to ensure goods and documents are delivered efficiently and effectively in line with related policies and procedures
- Apply governance and risk management to ensure Council vehicles are not misused
- Apply financial processes to prevent misuse of Council funds (Fuel and maintenance)
- Maintain customer service orientation to ensure a performance driven section and contribute to overall Departmental objectives
