Job Advert Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting of material and personnel to and from different destinations.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate). •Valid code EC1 driver’s license and the ability to pass Rand Waters K53 driving test • 2 years experience in driving a heavy vehicle • Must be in possession of Public Drivers Permit (PDP). • Previous experience of a operating heavy passenger vehicle will be an added advantage.
Primary Duties
• Correct balancing of goods loaded • Check if the vehicle is roadworthy • Check if the vehicle is not overloaded (too high/ Long/ Wide) • Check and confitr the load is secure and balanced • Check correct operation of tie down and lifting • Report vehicle defects and clean the vehicle. • Assist with Tree felling • Operating of cranes/ slings • Relief other drivers in EMS and assist with other driving duties. • Fill in log book • check documentation against the load • Responsible for welfare and safety of crew • Responsible for vehicle and load whilst on the road • Dumping at legal sites • Ensure Compliance of equipment

• Excellent driving and vehicle handling skills. • Strong defensive driving and hazard perception skills • Ability to safely transport scholars while maintaining a high standard road safety. • Time management and route planning skills
