About this role
RPO Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established electrical and mechanical consulting engineering firm in Johannesburg. The role is for a BIM modeller or Revit/CAD designer who will produce accurate engineering models and technical drawings for building services projects.
What you’ll do
- Build accurate electrical and mechanical engineering models for building services projects.
- Prepare technical drawings and 3D models that meet project requirements.
- Work closely with engineers and other disciplines so that designs fit together.
- Check that deliverables are coordinated and of high quality before they are issued.
- Use Revit, BIM 360 and AutoCAD across the project workflow.
- Keep construction documentation up to date with design changes.
What you need
- A relevant qualification in draughting, engineering design, BIM modelling or a related field.
- At least 3 years’ experience in electrical and/or mechanical engineering draughting or BIM modelling.
- Experience in a consulting engineering environment (advantageous).
- Proficiency in Revit, BIM 360 and AutoCAD.
- Experience producing engineering drawings and 3D models for building services projects.
- A good understanding of engineering drawings, design principles and construction documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to read technical information accurately.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.
