Engineering Storeman

About this role

VKB Group is hiring an Engineering Storeman for its Farm Foods division at the Modderrivier production site in the Northern Cape. The job keeps engineering spares, tools and consumables in order so that maintenance teams can work without delays.

What you’ll do

• Receive engineering spares, tools and consumables, and issue them to engineering staff quickly and correctly.
• Record every stock movement and keep inventory records and paperwork up to date.
• Bin, label and store stock according to set standards.
• Watch stock levels, flag items that need restocking and help with procurement requests.
• Run regular stock counts and help solve any differences found in reconciliations.
• Keep the stores area clean, safe and organised, and protect stock from loss or damage.

What you need

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4).
• Experience in storekeeping, inventory control or stock administration.
• Experience working with a stock control system and basic admin processes.
• Computer literacy, including MS Office.
• Good attention to detail and strong record-keeping skills.
• Advantageous: a relevant technical or storekeeping qualification.
• Advantageous: exposure to engineering spares, tools and consumables.
