Enrolled Nurse / Phlebotomist

About this role

Hire Resolve is recruiting on behalf of a client in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. The client’s clinical services team needs a registered Enrolled Nurse who can also do phlebotomy. This is a permanent, on-site role.

What you’ll do

• Collect, label, handle, store and transport blood and other patient specimens with care and accuracy.
• Carry out point-of-care tests, but only those you are authorised to do and in line with approved protocols.
• Give patients professional, respectful and caring treatment.
• Protect each patient’s dignity, privacy and personal information.
• Follow infection prevention and control rules, clinical protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Keep accurate records. Report specimen problems, incidents and safety concerns quickly.

What you need

• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Valid SANC registration documents and a current SANC registration receipt, where applicable.
• 1 to 2 years of practical phlebotomy experience.
• Previous work in a laboratory or clinical diagnostic setting.
• A valid driver’s licence.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and careful record-keeping.
• Willingness to work shifts and weekends when needed.
