Enrolled Nurse / Phlebotomist

About this role

Hire Resolve is recruiting on behalf of a client’s clinical services team. This is a permanent, on-site post in the Eastern Cape. The role combines nursing care with blood and specimen collection.

What you’ll do

• Collect, label, handle, store and transport blood and other patient specimens with care and accuracy.
• Carry out approved point-of-care tests, following the agreed protocols.
• Give patients professional, respectful and caring treatment.
• Protect each patient’s dignity, privacy and personal information.
• Follow infection prevention and control rules, clinical protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Keep accurate records and report specimen problems, incidents and safety concerns.

What you need

• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Valid SANC registration documents and a current registration receipt, where applicable.
• 1 to 2 years of practical phlebotomy experience.
• Previous work in a laboratory or clinical diagnostic setting.
• A valid driver’s licence.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and accurate record-keeping.
• Willingness to work shifts and weekends when needed.
