About this role
Hire Resolve is recruiting for a freight forwarding and international moving business based in Johannesburg. The company works across air, sea and road freight, customs clearance and international relocations. The Operations Coordinator will keep import and export shipments moving from start to finish.
What you’ll do
- Coordinate import and export shipments by air and sea.
- Prepare and check shipping documents, customs entries and tariff classifications.
- Update shipment files and track cargo in CargoWise One.
- Keep in touch with clients, overseas agents and transport providers.
- Monitor shipments, sort out delays and make sure paperwork is correct.
- Handle the extra requirements for commercial cargo, and hazardous cargo where needed.
What you need
- Matric certificate (essential).
- At least 3 years’ experience in freight forwarding or international moving.
- At least 2 years’ hands-on experience with CargoWise One.
- Experience handling imports, exports, air freight and sea freight.
- Knowledge of customs entries, tariffing and shipping documentation.
- Experience with CargoWise One, ShipShape, EasyClear or similar systems.
- Commercial cargo experience.
- Hazardous cargo exposure (advantageous).
- Fluent English, with strong communication and organisational skills.
- A reliable internet connection and a suitable home-office setup.
