Position Purpose:
Give insurance over life, property and the climate by answering fire and crisis circumstances, direct fire
anticipation obligations, up keep and adjusting of fire hardware.

Position yields:

1. Keep up with Operational Readiness
2. Support of fire gear
3. Carry out particular methods in managing crisis and different episodes
4. Adherence to Governance and Risk Management regarding regulation, approaches and systems
5. Comply with Transnet strategies, systems and rules
6. Really focusing on others’ lives and/or resources with practically no blessing and/or bias
7. Persistent appraisal of own exhibition, proficient collaboration and moral dealings with partners/clients and
   collaborators
8. Perform fire watches night-time
9. Examination of hazardous products/cargo positioned in marshaling yards
10. Fire and hardware assessment of freight sheds, distribution center and different designs
11. Fire assurance obligations or freight, substance big haulers and explosives
12. Orders episode site until appearance of more significant position
13. Treatment of all HAZMAT and fire hardware
14. Man the fire control room
15. Man fire hardware on board pulls during vessel episodes
16. Backup and investigation of hot work destinations
17. Investigation and testing of fire discovery, fire concealment and sprinkler frameworks
18. Grain lift examinations( danger of residue blasts)
19. Hot work review on vessels, rail organization and station building locales
20. Carry out some other roles as coordinated by an individual with power

CAPABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:

• Grade 12
• Fireman 1 ( SAQA/IFSAC-International Fire Safety
  License Congress) Accredited
• Hazardous materials Awareness (SAQA/IFSC licensed)
• Fireman 2 ( SAQA/IFSAC-Accredited)
• Hazardous materials Operational ( SAQA/IFSC licensed)
• Emergency treatment ( Level3) or Basic Ambulance Assistant endorsement
• Be in control of a substantial drivers permit (least C1) with
  PrDP
