Freedom Stationery, a leading name in the stationery and supply industry, is committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Fleet Controller to join our Warehouse team and ensure smooth, safe, and efficient fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fleet Operations & Maintenance

  • Ensure compliance with HSSE standards and vehicle maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor C-Track for load planning, deliveries, vehicle upkeep, and billing.
  • Manage fleet costs, administration, and material handling equipment.
  • Oversee pallet management and implement cost-saving initiatives.

2. Safety, Risk & Compliance

  • Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Facilitate HSSE meetings and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Manage security monitoring, reporting, and emergency evacuation planning.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 systems and procedures.

3. Diesel & Resource Management

  • Monitor and control diesel usage, including reporting.

4. People & Performance Management

  • Conduct staff appraisals and manage performance.
  • Implement and enforce disciplinary policies.

5. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare exception reports (harsh braking, speeding, excessive idling, etc.).
  • Compile fleet warning reports, monthly management reports, and maintenance reports.

6. Additional Operational Support

  • Assist in stock takes.
  • Perform alternative duties to support operational needs.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, or Supply Chain.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in fleet control, logistics, or fleet management using tracking software.
  • Exposure to cross-border logistics and customs clearing is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in fleet management systems, tracking, and camera systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of port terminal operations, Navis booking systems, and container work.
  • Manual driver’s licence – Code EB (8).
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Own reliable vehicle.
