SSK has the following career opportunity at its Agriland store in George or Mossel Bay. The successful candidate will be responsible for the marketing and sale of personal protective equipment (PPE), safety products, and cleaning supplies within an assigned service area, with a focus on excellent customer service, growing market share, and achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell Agriland’s range of protective clothing, safety products, and cleaning supplies to existing and new customers.
• Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities while building sustainable customer relationships.
• Conduct regular customer visits to determine needs, provide product advice, and identify sales opportunities.
• Achieve set sales and profitability targets in accordance with the company’s strategic plan.
• Prepare accurate quotations, actively follow up on them, and provide excellent after-sales service.
• Work closely with branch managers and other internal departments to effectively address customer needs.
• Gather and report market information, customer feedback, and competitor activities.
• Participate in promotions, exhibitions, product demonstrations, and other marketing initiatives.
• Support stock planning and assist with the marketing of slow-moving or obsolete stock.
• Ensure that all sales, orders, and administration are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain high standards regarding safety, stock control, and the responsible use of company assets.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate).
• Proven experience in sales and/or marketing, preferably within an agricultural, safety, or related environment.
• Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer focus and the ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Good administrative and computer skills.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned service area.
