Graduate in Training - Production and Sales

About this role

Eskom, South Africa’s state-owned electricity utility, is taking on a Graduate in Training for its Energy Management department in the Production and Sales business unit. The base is Megawatt Park in Sunninghill. This internship is designed to build your skills on the job, with structured training along the way.

What you’ll do

• Learn how Eskom’s production and sales work day to day, with support from experienced colleagues.
• Take part in institutionalised training programmes set up by Eskom.
• Build practical skills through on-the-job training in the Energy Management area.
• Work with teams and stakeholders, using clear communication and negotiation.
• Follow Eskom’s policies and procedures in everything you do.
• Help with tasks that prepare you for placement in Eskom’s Generation business units if you are successful.

What you need

• A fully completed B Degree in Computer Science and Legal.
• South African citizenship.
• You must not have taken part in, or registered for, an Eskom learning programme before.
• Knowledge of Eskom’s policies and procedures is useful.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Negotiation and liaison skills.
• Team player, with integrity, professionalism and a customer focus.
• Polite, prompt, energetic, self-starting and assertive.
