Internship Programme (Experiential Learning)

About this role

VKB Group is an agricultural company that supports farmers and produces food for consumers. It is based in Reitz, Free State, and works across the whole food supply chain, from processing and logistics to storage and markets. This internship gives students practical workplace experience for the experiential learning part of their studies.

What you’ll do

• Spend structured time learning on the job at GWK or VKB.
• Work alongside experienced professionals across the business.
• Get mentoring and coaching from people in the industry.
• Build practical skills that employers in agribusiness value.
• Work as part of a team and learn how a working day runs.

What you need

• You must be currently enrolled at a recognised institution.
• You must need practical workplace experience to finish your qualification.
• You need a letter from your institution confirming the experiential learning requirement.
• You must be a South African citizen.
• A good academic record.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Passion for agriculture and agribusiness (advantageous).
