Full job description

  • Deploy and configure new devices, ensuring compliance with organisational policies;
  • Provide support in all aspects of Mobile Device Lifecycle, deployment, refresh, reclamation, decommission, and troubleshooting;
  • Manage device settings, profiles, and security policies;
  • Keep devices up-to-date with the latest software, security patches, and firmware updates;
  • Ensure the secure decommissioning and disposal of devices, with all data permanently erased and integrity maintained throughout the process;

  • Enforce security policies and procedures on devices to protect against cyber threats and data breaches;
  • Monitor device activity and security events to detect and respond to potential vulnerabilities;
  • Respond to security incidents involving relevant devices;
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with devices, including hardware, software, and connectivity problems;
  • Optimise device performance and user experience;

  • Plan for future device needs and capacity requirements;
  • Provide technical support to users regarding their devices;
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on device management procedures and policies;
  • Collaborate with Teams/departments to ensure effective device management;
  • Produce weekly and/or monthly reports as and when required.
  • Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
  • Diploma in IT (Essential);
  • 1 year experience in a similar role (Essential);
  • 1 year experience with MDM solutions (Advantageous);
  • Mobile security experience (Advantagous);

  • Required to be available outside regular hours when necessary for handling emergencies, special projects, and any technology-related tasks that could disrupt business operations;
  • Good understanding of Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms;
  • Proficiency with various operating systems (iOS, Android, etc);
  • Knowledge of application and network infrastructure protocols.
