IT Intern

About this role

MANCOSA is hiring an IT intern for its CCG Systems team in Midrand, Gauteng. This is a learning role. You will support the development team on real projects and build your skills on the job.

What you’ll do

• Help design, code, test and deploy software solutions using current development tools.
• Help fix technical problems in existing applications.
• Help write and update technical material such as user guides, system specs and process flows.
• Work with product managers, designers and testers on shared projects.
• Take part in code reviews, testing and Agile meetings such as stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Help connect custom solutions to ERP systems like Sage so data moves smoothly between departments.

What you need

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Accounting or a related field. You can be still studying or recently graduated.
• Alternatively, a diploma in Business Analytics or Data Analytics with a strong focus on data visualisation and analysis.
• A valid code B driver’s licence.
• Basic knowledge of financial reporting, data visualisation and SQL querying.
• Basic understanding of SQL databases, including table structures and relationships.
• Familiarity with Power BI or a similar dashboard tool.
• Experience with the ETL data process.
• At least 1 year of working experience.
• Understanding of Odoo (advantageous).
• Understanding of SAGE X3 and SAGE 200 ERP systems (advantageous).
• You must pass credit and criminal checks and be a South African citizen, resident or hold a valid South African work permit.
