About this role

TWK Agri is hiring a cashier for its Trade division in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal. The job focuses on serving customers at the till and keeping transactions accurate. It is a fixed-term contract.

What you’ll do

• Take payments in cash or by card and give the correct change.
• Count the cash drawer at the start of each shift and make sure there is enough change.
• Work out prices and totals using a till, calculator or scanner.
• Greet customers and issue receipts, refunds and credits.
• Keep records of sales and the number of transactions.
• Keep the checkout area clean and tidy.
• Help around the store by stocking shelves, marking prices and doing stock takes.
• Pack and wrap goods, and count and wrap notes and coins.

What you need

• Matric (Grade 12).
• Previous experience as a cashier.
• Basic computer skills.
• Comfortable handling money and working accurately.
• Good people skills and the ability to deal with customers.
• Trilingual in Afrikaans, English and Zulu (advantageous).
