Marker and Packer - Paint Department

About this role

Brights Hardware is looking for a marker and packer for its paint department in Blackheath, Western Cape. The job keeps stock correctly labelled and packed so that the store can serve customers well and run smoothly.

What you’ll do

• Stick barcode labels on stock when it needs them.
• Mark incoming orders within the time your team leader sets.
• Pack stock in the right department and the right place, neatly and safely.
• Help the store person pick stock and help merchandisers pre-pack stock.
• Follow merchandising rules, such as coding boxes and stacking stock safely in the correct sub-department.
• Take part in regular stock counts and keep your work area tidy.

What you need

• Matric (Grade 12), or 3 completed Intercept courses totalling 120 credits.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Completion of the Brights induction on service excellence.
• Good customer service and people skills.
• Good numerical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle several tasks at once.
• Ability to work in a team and on your own with little supervision.
• Awareness, vigilance and the ability to cope under pressure.
• Advantageous: strong organisational skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including on public holidays, when the business needs it.
