Job Description

Job Purpose

The Marketing Event Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering marketing events that promote fibre network services, increase brand awareness, and support customer acquisition and stakeholder engagement. This role plays a key part in executing community activations, launch events, trade shows, and partner events within the fibre and telecommunications sector.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Execution

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver marketing events aligned with fibre rollout, sales, and brand strategies
  • Manage end-to-end event logistics including venues, suppliers, equipment, staffing, permits, and schedules
  • Coordinate fibre launch events, community engagement days, roadshows, exhibitions, and trade shows
  • Support sales teams with on-the-ground event execution and lead generation activities

Marketing & Brand Activation

  • Ensure all events are delivered in line with brand guidelines and marketing objectives
  • Work closely with marketing teams to integrate events with digital, PR, and local marketing campaigns
  • Assist with promotional materials, signage, merchandise, and collateral for events
  • Capture content (photos, videos, testimonials) for post-event marketing use

Stakeholder & Supplier Management

  • Liaise with internal teams including sales, network rollout, customer service, and external partners
  • Coordinate with local councils, landlords, community groups, and venue operators where required
  • Manage relationships with event suppliers, agencies, and contractors
  • Support partnerships with ISPs, resellers, and local businesses

Measurement & Reporting

  • Track event performance including attendance, leads generated, and engagement levels
  • Gather feedback from attendees, sales teams, and stakeholders
  • Produce post-event reports with insights and recommendations for improvement

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, customer-facing environments

Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience in event coordination, marketing, or brand activation
  • Experience managing suppliers, venues, and logistics
  • Proven ability to deliver events from concept to completion

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in Marketing, Events Management, Communications, or a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently
  • Flexible and adaptable, including willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends
  • Customer-focused with a professional and approachable manner
