Master Data Administrator

About this role

Pepkor Lifestyle is looking for a Master Data Administrator based in Sandton, Gauteng. You will look after the company’s master data so that it stays accurate, consistent and reliable across the business. You will also work with several teams and help them make decisions based on data.

What you’ll do

• Create and maintain vendor records in the relevant systems.
• Create and maintain article and cluster hierarchies.
• Review and check data for accuracy and completeness.
• Find and fix data inconsistencies and errors.
• Work with internal stakeholders to keep data quality and compliance in line with data standards.
• Document and maintain data governance processes and procedures, and help with data migration and integration projects.
• Handle queries and admin tasks linked to Merchandise business processes, and make sure Group Master Data policies are followed.

What you need

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Information Management or Business.
• Proven experience as a Master Data Administrator or in a similar data management role.
• Experience with master data management (MDM) systems.
• Knowledge of data governance principles and data quality management.
• Experience with data quality and profiling tools.
• Understanding of data modelling and data mapping.
• Proficiency in data management tools and software.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work independently and set your own priorities.
• Advantageous: knowledge of industry-specific data standards and familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR.
• Advantageous: certifications in data management or a related field.
