Job Description
PURPOSE OF ROLE
The Multimedia Designer will support the Marketing and Communications team in the creation, development, and delivery of high-quality visual content across digital and print platforms. The role includes responsibilities in graphic design, photography, videography, and multimedia production to enhance brand visibility, storytelling, and audience engagement.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Graphic Design & Visual Content Creation
- Design and produce creative assets for digital, print, and social media platforms
- Develop marketing materials such as brochures, posters, newsletters, presentations, and banners
- Ensure all visual content aligns with brand guidelines and corporate identity standards
- Assist in conceptualising creative ideas for campaigns and brand initiatives
Digital Content Support
- Adapt creative assets for various digital platforms (social media, website, email campaigns)
- Support the development of motion graphics and animations for digital storytelling
- Assist in managing content calendars and campaign rollouts
Brand & Communication Support
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all outputs
- Collaborate with the marketing team to interpret briefs and deliver creative solutions
- Stay updated with design trends, multimedia tools, and digital content best practices
Photography
- Capture high-quality photographs for corporate events, campaigns, internal communications, and brand storytelling
- Edit and retouch images for use across digital and print platforms
- Maintain and organise a digital photo library with proper tagging and archiving
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of photography equipment
Administration & Asset Management
- Maintain organised digital archives of design files, photos, and video footage
- Assist in sourcing stock images, music, and multimedia assets where required
- Support procurement and maintenance of multimedia equipment and software
Videography (Advantageous)
- Plan, shoot, and assist in the production of video content for marketing campaigns, social media, internal communications, and corporate storytelling
- Edit video footage into engaging content, including promotional videos, interviews, event highlights, and social media reels
- Add motion graphics, subtitles, and audio enhancements where required
- Support live event recording and basic video streaming where necessary
QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Visual Communication, or a related field
EXPERIENCE
- 3–5 years’ experience in multimedia design, photography, or videography
- A strong portfolio showcasing diverse design skills is essential
COMPETENCIES
Knowledge
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects or equivalent)
- Sound understanding of typography, colour theory, and composition
- Awareness of current design trends, multimedia tools, and digital content best practices
