Operations Coordinator

About this role

An established citrus grower and exporter in Gqeberha is looking for an Operations Coordinator. Hire Resolve is handling the recruitment. The job keeps stock moving from the packhouse to the port and on to overseas customers.

What you’ll do

• Plan and run logistics across the export chain, linking logistics teams, packhouses and cold stores.
• Work with third-party logistics providers and the documentation team so that all paperwork arrives on time.
• Turn stock allocations into loading instructions and pass them on to the logistics team.
• Track vessel departure and arrival times and keep shipment schedules up to date.
• Follow up on weekly shipment plans and flag any delays or gaps early.
• Keep customers and the Commercial team informed, and review and sign off logistics costs from service providers.

What you need

• A Bachelor’s degree.
• 1 to 3 years of proven experience in a shipping environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, including pivot tables, formulas and data analysis.
• Strong planning, organising and time-management skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Careful attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work on your own with little supervision and handle competing priorities under pressure.
• A valid Code B driver’s licence.
• Advantageous: knowledge of export processes, stock management, costings and basic logistics procedures.
