Operations Manager

About this role

Fidelity Services Group is looking for an Operations Manager based in George, Western Cape. You will report to the Branch Manager and lead a team of operations managers who look after security services at client sites.

What you’ll do

• Keep good working relations between the company and its clients, and make sure contract terms are met at every site you manage.
• Supervise security staff, check that performance targets are met, and make sure all officers on site meet client requirements.
• Review service levels regularly and recommend improvements to clients.
• Handle HR and labour relations matters, including disciplinary steps and timely submission of employment forms to the regional office.
• Investigate incidents and report on them, and submit weekly and monthly incident and general reports to management.
• Manage fleet, expenses and the posting of security officers, and liaise daily with management and regional management on operational issues.

What you need

• Matric (Grade 12) or an equivalent certificate.
• PSIRA Grade A registration.
• A valid driver’s licence and your own reliable transport.
• At least 10 years’ experience in the security industry.
• At least 5 years’ experience in operational retail security management.
• Staff management experience.
• Working knowledge of the Firearms Act and firearm competency.
• Expert computer skills across the Microsoft Office package.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 quality management and its requirements.
• No criminal record and no pending cases.
• Strong planning, administration, communication and client liaison skills.
• Advantageous: strong leadership and organisational skills, and good interpersonal skills.
