Operations Manager

About this role

Fidelity Services Group has a vacancy at its Kokstad branch in KwaZulu-Natal. The Operations Manager reports to the Branch Manager and makes sure Cash in Transit (CIT) work runs smoothly and efficiently.

What you’ll do

• Take charge of all operational matters for the branch’s client base, giving daily instructions to staff and following up on them.
• Make sure every client is serviced in line with its contract, and keep good working relationships between the branch and its clients.
• Manage staff and client retention, and manage risk across the branch.
• Complete all administrative tasks linked to daily operations.
• Take full responsibility for vehicles, including reporting mechanical faults, refuelling, operating security systems and keeping vehicles clean.
• Prevent accidents, report incidents, and act early on any suspicious activity.
• Plan and manage the movement of CIT schedules during transit, and handle HR and IR matters and Transtrack duties.

What you need

• A clear criminal record and a clear disciplinary record.
• PSIRA accreditation with a minimum Grade C qualification.
• A Cash in Transit (CIT) certificate.
• Firearm competency, with a minimum handgun qualification for business purposes.
• Computer literacy (compulsory).
• At least 5 years of experience in the Cash in Transit industry or a similar role.
• Knowledge of HR and IR.
• Knowledge of Transtrack and ISO 9001:2015 quality management.
• A valid driver’s licence and your own transport.
• Advantageous: experience at Fidelity Services Group.
• Advantageous: CIT management or supervisory experience.
• Strong planning, leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work long hours and irregular hours, and to cope under pressure.
