Quality Assurer

About this role

Discovery is looking for a Quality Assurer for its Discovery Connect area in Park Square, Durban. You will report to the Admin Team Leader. The role gives sound advice on laws, regulations, industry standards and best practice, using compliance risk management principles.

What you’ll do

• Plan and carry out internal audits using a risk-based approach.
• Build audit plans and work schedules that check systems and operations for possible risks.
• Write risk reports and documents that help teams understand and manage risk.
• Spot new risks facing the business and identify interim and permanent controls.
• Help create, roll out and maintain risk management frameworks.
• Run training and development based on skill gaps you find, including training for consultants.
• Do research, document your findings and help with projects in the operational side of the business.

What you need

• Matric (essential).
• Advanced skills in Excel and Word (essential).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation skills (essential).
• Strong report writing skills (essential).
• Good planning and scheduling skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong process understanding, analysis and problem-solving skills.
• An understanding of statistics and statistical sampling methods.
• Ability to manage your time well and work well under pressure.
• Knowledge of Discovery products (advantageous).
• A tertiary qualification (advantageous).
• NQF 5 and RE5 qualification (compulsory, as stated in the advert).
