Telesales Consultant (Insure)

About this role

Discovery is recruiting a Telesales Consultant for its Discovery Connect sales call centre in Park Square, KwaZulu-Natal. You will sell Discovery Insure products over the phone and report to the sales team leader.

What you’ll do

• Take inbound calls quickly and make the outbound calls you are required to make.
• Find and follow up on sales opportunities.
• Hit your Discovery Insure sales target.
• Complete a Financial Needs Analysis with each client.
• Handle objections calmly and keep to your quality targets.
• Send communication to members by phone, fax and email, and keep to service level agreements.
• Keep accurate records and statistics of every query, and handle your own admin.

What you need

• Matric (Grade 12).
• At least 2 years of sales experience. Experience in an outbound telesales environment is preferred.
• At least 2 years of short-term insurance product knowledge.
• NQF5 and RE5 qualification.
• PC literacy, including email, Word and Excel.
• Fluent English or Afrikaans, accent neutral.
• Knowledge of Discovery Insure is advantageous.
• A tertiary qualification is advantageous.
