Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Stock Controller to join our team at Hyundai Zambezi. Stock controller role is to cost effectively and efficiently control stock internally.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Process

  • Capture stock data on system to ensure availability of stock to customers.
  • Check stock levels constantly and order in time to ensure availability of stock to customers/ sublet repairers and service workshop.
  • Control and safeguard stock in line with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Count stock constantly, store in correct locations and report losses to minimize wastage.
  • Deliver on agreed performance targets according to set procedures and service level agreements.
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained for availability purposes to be distributed to internal and external customers.
  • Execute work in line with governance and compliance processes.
  • Identify and apply known solutions to operational challenges and escalate unresolved issues.
  • Record and report on work activities to provide timely and accurate information for decision making in area of accountability

Finance

  • Execute work activities effectively and efficiently in order to maximize efficiencies and reduce unnecessary delays in achieving goals of the office wastage.

Client

  • Deliver services and/or products that create a culture which aims to meet or exceed customers’ expectations in the business.
  • Deliver work activities effectively to satisfy customers.

People

  • Own up and live up to company values.
  • Attend learning initiatives to improve work quality and enhance own skills.

Experience & Requirements:

  • Matric/Grade12
  • Certificate/Diploma in Inventory Management or Supply Chain
  • 0-1 years’ experience in similar environment

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Client focused
  • Knowledge and proficient organizational skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of inventory management
  • Ability to apply the essential ethics and values in the workplace that will support this business’s strategic intent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • An eye for details
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise
