Store Manager

About this role

TFG is recruiting a Store Manager for its Relay Jeans store in Phuthaditjhaba, Free State. You will run the store day to day, with a focus on sales, costs, stock and the team.

What you’ll do

• Grow store sales and work towards the monthly and yearly targets.
• Keep store costs under control.
• Keep stock losses in check so shrinkage stays within company limits.
• Lead your team, including hiring, training, handling staff relations and managing performance.
• Apply the in-store merchandising plan and make sure the standards are met.
• Look after customers by putting the customer service strategy into practice and meeting what shoppers need.

What you need

• Matric (Grade 12).
• At least 3 years of retail experience.
• At least 1 year in a store leadership role.
• Strong customer service and sales skills, including building customer loyalty and managing the sales process.
• Good planning and organising skills, and a sound knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Leadership skills: taking accountability, motivating your team and directing their work to hit targets.
• A practical, results-driven approach, with good negotiation and relationship-building skills.
