The Barest Minimum Necessary Requirement Is:

Be in possession of Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
You must be in possession of a current Blasting Certificate.
Have the ability to succeed in the practical exam if you are short listed.

The appointee should have a driver’s license that is currently active and in good standing.
Having a current and valid First Aid Certificate is a must.
Show that your communication abilities in English are outstanding, both verbally and in writing.
You must pass a risk-based medical test at the appropriate Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre in order to demonstrate that you are physically able to perform the duties associated with the position and the environment.

Qualities that are to one’s advantage:

Substantial experience operating in the role of a Miner in both a Trackless and Conventional setting.
Need must have previous experience working with drill rigs in mining operations.
Methodology known as Cycle Mining or Multi-blast.
Knowledge of the whole mining value chain, including but not limited to:
(Development, Construction, Ledging, Equipping, Stoping).
Observance of the conditions of participation (COP) and applicable laws.

Principal Duties and Obligations:

Taking responsibility for the well-being of the workers who fall under his or her supervision.
Whole operation of the mining cycle should be carried out.
Guarantee conformity with all applicable safety standards, guidelines, policies, and operating procedures.
