REQUIREMENTS

– Having Grade 10 to Grade 12 will be an added advantage.
– Possessing a driver’s license that is currently valid will be an asset.
– Capable of maintaining a healthy physical condition and having experience using a variety of hand and garden tools.
– Expertise in the cleaning and upkeep of recreational buildings and spaces, such as parks and cemeteries, as well as sports and leisure facilities.
– A diligent and self-controlled individual who works hard.
– A minimum of six months to one year of experience working in the Parks, Cemeteries, Sports, and Recreation Section of a Local Government Authority.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Perform any necessary labor using machinery or garden tools on sports fields, flowerbeds, pavements, and other areas in order to create a clean and tidy environment.
– In charge of the cleaning of various buildings, including ablution blocks and other facilities.
– Responsible for the safe use of machines and tools as well as their maintenance.
– Rubble, garden refuse, and other yard waste should be picked up from flowerbeds and athletic fields.
– Installing sprayers will allow you to water flowerbeds and the lawn simultaneously.
– The cleaning, maintenance, and general upkeep of the ablution facilities.
– Install warning signs along municipal roads, islands, pavements, open spaces, and the like to alert passing motorists and pedestrians that workers are in the area.

– If the machines are not functioning properly or if the cleaning needs to be done during the winter, use garden tools.
– Perform any other necessary general work in addition to cleaning parks and cemeteries, clinics, libraries, sports facilities, and depots as well as other municipal facilities and buildings.
– During the winter months, you should apply winter treatment to all of the sports fields.
– To put in a full day’s work every other week on a Friday, which is Pay Day.
– Complete any and all additional related ad hoc tasks and duties that may arise from time to time and be requested by management or a supervisor.
