24 Hour Flexi Sales and Customer Associate

About this role

homechoice, a homeware retailer with more than 40 years in South Africa, is looking for a sales associate for its Queenstown showroom. You will help customers find products for their homes and turn their visits into sales.

What you’ll do

• Approach customers on the showroom floor, find out what they need and show them suitable products.
• Explain product features, benefits, prices and current promotions, using the latest catalogue.
• Help customers through the whole buying process, from choosing products to ordering, payment and after-sales care.
• Capture orders, payments, refunds and credits accurately and on time, and keep records complete.
• Help with basic stock tasks such as receiving stock, moving it and restocking the floor, and report any stock problems.
• Keep the sales floor neat and well presented, and follow cash handling and company policies.
• Work with your team to meet showroom targets and take part in promotions and training.

What you need

• Grade 12 / matric (minimum requirement).
• At least one year of retail sales experience.
• Customer-facing sales experience in a environment with targets.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Homeware retail experience (advantageous).
• A clear credit record and a clear criminal record.
