Assistant Operator

About this role

VKB Group, an agricultural business that supplies farmers and produces food for consumers, is hiring an Assistant Operator for its Farmpack (Pty) Ltd site at Low’s Creek, near Nelspruit. The role supports packaging and milling work on the production floor.

What you’ll do

• Work on the feeding and take-off sections of the carton making process.
• Set up the feeder table, take calliper measurements, and fit and remove printing tooling.
• Keep accurate records of production run information.
• Wash and keep the printing machines clean.
• Clean mills and help supervise the milling process.
• Follow health and safety rules at all times.

What you need

• Grade 12 with good reading and writing skills.
• A clean criminal record.
• Medically fit for the work.
• A technical background (recommended).
• Experience in the corrugated packaging industry (advantageous).
• Trustworthy and honest.
• Able to work well in a team and under pressure.
