Branch Assistant

About this role

OVK, a farmers’ cooperative business in Rosendal, Free State, is hiring a Branch Assistant for its trading branch. The role supports day-to-day branch work, from serving customers to keeping the shop running smoothly.

What you’ll do

• Serve customers well and help promote the branch’s products and services.
• Handle cash transactions accurately.
• Keep track of stock levels and control stock movement.
• Keep the shelves stocked, neat and presentable.
• Carry out general administrative tasks for the branch.
• Carry out other duties assigned by your branch manager.

What you need

• Grade 12 (matric).
• 2 to 3 years of experience in a trading or retail branch environment.
• Advantageous: 2 years of experience in customer service and marketing.
• Good communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English.
• Computer literacy, including MS Office.
• Good numerical ability.
• Good organisational skills.
• Good sales skills.
