Cashier

About this role

Pedros is opening a brand-new restaurant in Krugersdorp and is building its front-counter team from the start. This cashier role is for the launch team, where you help set up the store culture and service standards.

What you’ll do

• Take customer orders and payments, making sure every transaction is correct.
• Use the POS system and fix simple problems when they come up.
• Handle cash, card and digital payments carefully.
• Issue receipts and deal with refunds or exchanges.
• Tell customers about specials and suggest extra products.
• Keep queues moving and answer basic questions or complaints.
• Balance your cash drawer and complete end-of-shift reports. Keep the counter clean and tidy.

What you need

• Strong numeracy skills.
• Previous cashier or retail experience (preferred).
• A professional appearance and a positive attitude.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Honesty, attention to detail and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Basic problem-solving skills and a sales mindset.
