Contract Manager - Commercial Cleaning

About this role

Empact Group is looking for a Contract Manager based in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. You will look after cleaning contracts at client facilities, with a focus on shopping environments. The job keeps service agreements on track and keeps cleanliness standards high.

What you’ll do

• Oversee cleaning contracts and make sure the service meets all agreed terms and conditions.
• Check the work of the cleaning team through regular inspections and measure quality and effectiveness.
• Work with management to set up cleaning schedules that fit operational needs and help customers stay happy.
• Handle complaints and problems about cleaning services quickly.
• Train and support staff on cleaning standards and safety protocols.
• Manage the spending linked to cleaning services.

What you need

• Proven experience in contract management, ideally in cleaning or facilities management.
• A solid understanding of cleaning processes, materials and equipment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with different stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• The ability to work independently and manage several projects at the same time.
• Advantageous: a relevant qualification in Facilities Management, Contract Management or a related field.
• Advantageous: certification in Cleaning Management or related health and safety standards.
• Advantageous: experience in a retail or commercial setting.
