Storekeeper

About this role

Empact Group is looking for a Storekeeper based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. You will control stock for the business, work with suppliers and staff, and supervise a store associate.

What you’ll do

• Place orders with suppliers once the Project or Catering Manager has approved them.
• Check that prices and quantities on invoices match the order sheet.
• Issue stock and groceries to other departments and weigh food products for staff production.
• Keep stock levels within budget, between agreed minimum and maximum levels.
• Help with weekly and monthly stock takes.
• Receive deliveries, check quality and labelling, and keep all HSE records accurate and on time.
• Keep the storeroom, fridge and freezer locked, clean and well controlled, and pack stock away after each mealtime service.

What you need

• Matric (Grade 12).
• At least 2 years of experience in a logistics environment.
• Computer literacy.
• Good with numbers and calculations.
• Planning, organisation and time management skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work on your own and under pressure, and to delegate tasks.
• Advantageous: supervisory experience.
• Advantageous: experience in a hospitality environment. Training is provided if you do not have it.
• Advantageous: Work Smart experience.
