Diesel Mechanic / Driver

About this role

Hire Resolve is recruiting on behalf of a manufacturing client in Middelburg, Mpumalanga. The job combines workshop maintenance with driving articulated heavy vehicles to move cargo.

What you’ll do

• Inspect vehicles before and after each trip.
• Carry out routine, preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Drive articulated trucks to deliver cargo to the correct sites.
• Make sure loads are secured properly and arrive safely and on time.
• Spot, record and report vehicle faults and maintenance problems quickly.

What you need

• Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s licence (essential, no exceptions).
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP / PrDP).
• Proven experience driving articulated trucks.
• Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing diesel vehicles.
• A strong commitment to road safety, load securing and keeping to schedules.
