General Assistant

About this role

Sentraal-Suid Co-operative Ltd (SSK) is recruiting a General Assistant for its Umtiza Farmer’s Corp branch at Mthahtha, near Mthatha in the Eastern Cape. The role covers general day-to-day support around the branch.

What you’ll do

• Keep the branch clean and in good order through general housekeeping.
• Carry out physical, hands-on work, including manual labour.
• Help manage risks around your work and report anything unsafe.
• Support customers with basic service tasks.
• Follow safety standards at all times.
• Handle general tasks as the branch needs them.

What you need

• Grade 12 (matric) certificate.
• Good mental and physical health.
• The ability to lift heavy items.
• A reliable person who follows instructions.
• A safety-conscious attitude.
• Ability to work well in harsh conditions, including a dusty environment.
