Office Assistant and Cleaner

About this role

Sentraal-Suid Co-operative Ltd (SSK) is looking for a self-motivated office assistant and cleaner for its Mossel Bay office. The job covers cleaning and hygiene, everyday office support and backup reception work.

What you’ll do

• Keep all office areas, kitchens, changing rooms and shared spaces clean, safe and hygienic every day.
• Do daily cleaning, sanitising and general upkeep of the facilities.
• Help team members with routine admin tasks.
• Answer incoming phone calls and handle enquiries as needed.
• Cover the front desk and switchboard during busy periods or when staff are on leave.
• Plan your day so cleaning comes first, while still making time for office requests.

What you need

• Grade 12 (matric) certificate.
• Fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
• Experience in commercial cleaning, housekeeping or general office support (advantageous).
• Good at setting priorities and managing your time.
• Able to stay calm and work well when things get busy.

Is this job for you?

This job suits someone who likes hands-on work and also enjoys helping people in an office. You should be organised, reliable and comfortable answering the phone in two languages. Experience is helpful but not essential.
