General Assistant

About this role

Sentraal-Suid Co-operative Ltd (SSK) is looking for a General Assistant at its Umtiza Farmer’s Corp branch in Tsomo, Eastern Cape. The role supports the day-to-day running of the branch, from housekeeping to hands-on practical work.

What you’ll do

• Keep the branch clean and in good order through general housekeeping.
• Carry out practical, manual work as part of the branch’s daily operations.
• Help manage risks by spotting and reporting hazards around the site.
• Support customers with basic service enquiries.
• Follow safety standards at all times.
• Take on other general tasks as the branch needs them.

What you need

• Grade 12 (matric) certificate.
• Good mental and physical health.
• Ability to lift heavy items.
• A reliable, dependable attitude.
• Willingness to follow instructions.
• A safety-conscious approach.
• Ability to work well in harsh conditions, including a dusty environment.
